Eye Care That Starts with Understanding What You Are Experiencing

Every visit begins with a conversation, not just a test.
Before any testing, we take time to understand your concerns.

That may include headaches, reading difficulty, dizziness, or vision that doesn't feel right. Those details guide your eye exam and help us focus on what needs evaluation. Next, we assess how your eyes function, not only how clearly you see. That is often where the answers are.

Meet Dr. Erin Pitts

Dr. Erin Pitts founded Eyes on Cypress to create a practice focused on understanding complex vision problems, not just correcting prescriptions.

Her clinical focus is in neuro-optometry and binocular vision, which means evaluating how the eyes and brain work together. This includes vision-related learning challenges, post-concussion symptoms, and cases where patients have ongoing discomfort without a clear explanation.

Patients are often referred to Dr. Pitts after trying other solutions without success. Her goal is to identify what is being missed, explain it in a way that makes sense, and guide each patient toward the right next step.

Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters and exploring different cultures with them.

Meet Dr. Jefferson Cadavez

Dr. Jefferson Cadavez brings a strong focus on patient experience, especially when working with children and patients dealing with coordination-related vision issues.

He has a particular interest in binocular vision and its effects on learning, attention, and daily comfort. His approach is straightforward and supportive, helping patients feel at ease as they work through concerns that may not have been clearly explained before.

Originally from the Rio Grande Valley, Dr. Cadavez completed his training at the University of Houston and brings that same focus and consistency into every patient interaction.

Outside the eye clinic, he enjoys reading comics and staying active.

A Team That Supports the Entire Process

From your exam to your follow-up care, you are supported by a team that understands your needs and helps make each step clear. This includes guiding you through your results, providing eyewear when needed, and ensuring you know what comes next.

For patients dealing with more complex symptoms, continuity matters. You are not starting over at each step; you are working with a team that already understands your situation.
