Get to Know Our Eye Doctors
If you have been dealing with symptoms that have not been fully explained, it helps to start with the right team. At Eyes on Cypress, your care begins with eye doctors who take the time to understand what you are experiencing and look deeper to find answers.
About Our Cypress Optometrists
Many patients come in after being told everything looks “normal,” even though they are still dealing with headaches, reading difficulty, dizziness, or eye strain. In many cases, the issue has not been fully evaluated.
Our optometrists in Cypress focus on understanding how your eyes are functioning as a system, not just how clearly you can see. That is often where the answers are found, and where your care begins to take a different direction.
Vision Care That Starts with Understanding Your Symptoms
Before anything else, we take time to understand what you’re dealing with. That could be headaches, trouble focusing, or something that doesn’t feel right. Those details guide the eye exam and help us focus on what needs to be evaluated.
From there, we look at how your eyes are working together throughout your day. This approach helps connect symptoms to a cause so you are not left guessing about what comes next.
Erin Pitts, O.D.
Dr. Erin Pitts founded Eyes on Cypress to create a practice focused on understanding complex vision problems, not just correcting prescriptions.
Her clinical focus is in neuro-optometry and binocular vision, which means evaluating how the eyes and brain work together. She works with patients experiencing vision-related learning challenges, post-concussion symptoms, and ongoing discomfort that has not been clearly explained elsewhere.
Many patients are referred to Dr. Pitts after trying other solutions without success. Her approach is to identify what may have been missed, explain it in a way that makes sense, and guide each patient toward the right next step.
Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters and exploring different cultures with them.
Jefferson Cadavez, O.D.
Dr. Jefferson Cadavez focuses on providing care that feels clear, approachable, and easy to follow.
He has a strong interest in binocular vision and how eye coordination affects learning, attention, and daily comfort. Many of the patients he works with are dealing with symptoms like eyestrain, headaches, or difficulty concentrating, even when their vision seems normal.
Dr. Cadavez takes a straightforward approach, helping patients understand what is happening and what their options are so they can move forward with confidence.
Originally from the Rio Grande Valley, he completed his training at the University of Houston and brings a consistent, thoughtful approach to every patient interaction.
Outside the eye clinic, he enjoys reading comics and staying active.
